We conduct a systematic aerial search using the Matrice 4TD thermal camera. Our real-time feed detects heat signatures invisible to the naked eye, even in darkness or heavy cover.
When we have a thermal hit, we guide you or ground searchers to the location in real time. We work alongside you until the search is complete.

Before We Arrive
While you're waiting for us to arrive, use this checklist to get ready. The more prepared you are, the faster we can begin the search.
Make sure your cell phone is charged and has Google Maps available. We'll use it to send you real-time location information when we get a thermal hit.
Have a capable adult on standby to physically assist in retrieving your pet once located. This should be someone your pet is familiar with and comfortable approaching.
Wear sturdy footwear suitable for rough terrain and dress for the weather. Bring a flashlight — especially for night searches. You may be walking fields, woodlines, or uneven ground.
Keep your phone on and audible at all times. When we spot a heat signature we may need to reach you immediately to coordinate ground retrieval — every second counts.
Have a leash, crate, or carrier ready for recovery. For cats and small animals, a carrier is essential. Bring treats or a favorite toy — familiar scents and rewards help coax a frightened animal.
Ask any ground searchers to pause and hold their positions until we have eyes in the air. Foot traffic through the search area can push a hiding animal further away and create confusing heat signatures on the thermal feed.
Common Questions
No, and we'll never make that promise. Thermal drone search significantly improves the odds of locating a missing animal — especially in darkness and dense terrain — but outcomes depend on many factors including how long ago the animal went missing, terrain, weather, and animal behavior.
As soon as possible. Thermal search is most effective in the first few hours after an animal goes missing. Night searches are particularly effective because ambient temperatures drop, making heat signatures stand out more clearly.
Yes. Night searches are often our most effective — thermal contrast is sharper after dark. An after-hours premium of $50 applies for searches beginning between 10 PM and 6 AM.
We aim to be on-site within 90 minutes for locations within our service radius. We're a part-time operation and cannot always guarantee immediate response — call to check availability.
Have a recent photo of your animal and any favorite toys or scent items ready. Know the last confirmed sighting location and time. A client or designated representative must be present at the start of search operations. If your animal is located, recovery and containment are your responsibility — we do not provide physical animal capture, herding, or containment services.
Payment is collected on-scene prior to the start of flight operations. We accept cash (no fee), Square, and PayPal Business. A 3% processing fee applies to Square and PayPal payments. No deposit required to dispatch.
We fly legally within FAA regulations. For searches that extend over neighboring property, we'll work with you to obtain verbal consent where possible. We'll discuss realistic search coverage during the intake call.
